Colts Neck PTO held their 34th Annual Spring Gala on March 30, 2017 at Eagle Oaks Country Club in Farmingdale. The 300 guests in attendance wore their white attire to this very chic and festive party, all while enjoying cocktails, a delicious dinner, and a night of dancing. Among the many highlights of the evening was the extensive gift basket raffle. Coveted items included beautiful jewelry and fashionable bags, as well as the newest in electronics and home items. Donations of these special gift basket raffle items were generously given by local businesses and PTO supporters in the community. As in past years, the highly-anticipated 50/50 drawing completed the evening.
Co-chairs Tara Torchia Buss and Justine Buzzetta were joined by the Spring Gala committee consisting of Josephine Agliata, Carrie Benevento, Stephanie Collura, Amy Dimes, Danielle Gibson, Marci Klein, Stephanie Lukowitz, Courtney McCormick, Nancy Morin, Patricia Pecoraro, January Nicoletta, Colleen Panico, Sarah Pisani, Colleen Procyk, Emma Ragusa, Alyssa Sans, Julie Shell, Kristie Tierney, Colleen Wilcox, and Jennifer Winkelmann to make this event unforgettable. “We would like to take the opportunity to give our heartfelt thanks to our amazing committee whose diligence and hard work made this evening a shining success for the Colts Neck PTO,” shared Co-chair Tara Torchia Buss.
As noted by the Colts Neck PTO, funds that were raised at this event will be used to support the district’s sustainability and green initiatives. District leaders have been collaborating with staff, students, and members of the Colts Neck community to identify areas to extend students’ exposure to “Green Living,” increase experiments in alternative energy sources, and the creation of a Mindfulness Garden. The funds will help to support the programs of the Colts Neck PTO, which serves approximately 1,000 children in Pre-K through 8th grade in three schools in the Colts Neck community. The organization funds programs and activities that extend and enrich the educational and social experiences of the children, and provides new and innovative educational tools and technologies that would not otherwise be possible due to budgetary constraints.
“We want to take this opportunity to thank our Platinum Sponsors: Esposito Construction, Colts Neck Dance & Performing Arts Academy, UBS Sessa Andrieu Wealth Management and our Silver Sponsors: Caro Electric, Ray Raya, Esq.,” said Co-chair Buss. “This event is a wonderful evening dedicated to celebrating our members, teachers, staff, and supporters, while raising funds to support the excellent education our children receive every day,” shared Colts Neck PTO Co-Presidents Danielle Gibson and Patricia Pecoraro.
